What is the most effective way to care for my hair?

• Remove tangles from dry hair with a brush before shampooing. This will prevent unnecessary knots, which will make hair much easier to dry and style.
• Never brush wet hair. Hair is most fragile when wet, thus running fingers through hair is the safest method of detangling.
• Use a quality, wide-tooth comb (or fingers) to untangle hair as you dry it. Hair should be at least 90-95% dry before brushing.
• Always use a treated elastic hair band when styling hair in a braid or ponytail. This will help prevent breakage and loss.

Likewise, never sleep in a tight braid or ponytail.

For even more enhanced volume, try using big, thick rollers. Roll hair in even sections, spray with your favorite volumizer and hold for a good 15 minutes. Remove the large rollers, and then use a paddle or bristle brush to style into shape. Apply heat for a full day of hold. A bigger roller provides less curl and more volume.
